Among my many adventures, I created this

little sketch on my iPad while sitting by one of my favorite trees.

I have to have my glove off to use my iPad.

My time is limited. I get as far as I can before my fingers freeze.

These paintings were painted by triplets in different classes at different times.

It is interesting how they all match and look like they were painted by the same person the same day.

quite a bit. I usually take this as a sign to stop

and be aware, to look.

I saw that she was yelling at

a red tailed hawk.

The red tailed hawk shined in the morning sun.

She was annoyed by the crow, and watchful,

but mostly relaxing in glow.

More crows came, and yelled at her.

I watched her silhouette as the sun peeked

over the hill to beam light into me.

I turned around and saw the elephants

lumbering in their magical way, going on their

morning stroll through the zoo.

Then I went and sat with one of my tree mothers,

and was very thankful to be alive.

Please forgive me. I think I have a decent excuse.

I was in a bike accident about 6 weeks ago.

I was on a trail and made a misjudgment.

I flipped over the handlebars and landed on my right shin, my hip,

my shoulder, then my head.

I thought the wound was pretty with its reds and browns.

I thought I was fine and worked away for the last weeks.

Then, within a few days all my muscles got angry.

I could not move much or think well.

I went to the chiropractor almost every day for a week,

and he helped me enormously.

I am so thankful for chiropractors!

It forced me to stop and do nothing.

I doodled. I read.

I think we need that at times.

To stop.

To doodle.

To breathe.

May you have time to breathe today.

A program I discovered recently and love to work with.

The frog was originally painted in watercolor,

scanned into the computer, and then manipulated into

position.

I had made this eleven years ago,
and emailed it to her.

There once once was a man who lived
in the ground. Sometimes he
would pop out of the ground to talk
to his best friend, the fire
sprite. He would tell the fire sprite
stories about the worms, and
all the funny things they did, because,
you see, we think worms are
just long slimy creatures,
but when humans aren’t watching,
they grow legs, when they need them,
and even talk to each other, as a
matter of fact, they have a whole complex society.
This is a picture from when I saw ground guy talking to fire sprite,
they laughed and laughed together.

My step-Dad Don is 78 years young, and does not like computers at all.
He normally would not touch one. But…
I have been showing him how to use my iPad,
and he has had fun with it.

Don has had a challenging year with his health.
He is often low on energy – not being in the mood
to do much, including exercise his amazing artistic talent.
He is a fantastic artist, and he brightened up
so magnificently while he was drawing on the iPad.

It made me feel so happy to see him happy like that.

Rochester Community Acupuncture - Peaceful Healing Place

This is my Mom, step Dad, and my foot at Rochester Community Acupuncture.

I discovered Rochester Community Acupuncture about a month ago.
I walked in, and fell in love with the energy immediately.

You walk into this wonderful room with warm light and
peaceful music. People are sitting in comfortable chairs,
sleeping or resting happily.

I think it  is really cool that they have a room where everyone
is healing together.

I managed to convince my parents to check it out.
My Mom REALLY could NOT  stand needles, but she loved
the place so much and the care of the acupuncturist, Angela,
that  she now enjoys getting treated.

I like that we can all go and get
treatment as a family.

Later, I went for a ride in the forest, and the green and yellow hues

in these leaves were stunning!

I was taking pictures of a path, and this biker magically appeared.

The Chachapoyas were a people who lived in Peru before the Incas.

They are also called The Warriors of the Clouds.
